Requirements:
Recreational Therapist
Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years rendering direct patient care in public or private institution. Clinical competencies must be current
Valid Photo ID Driver's License or Passport (Required)
Possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association
NATIONAL or CA Recreational Therapist Certificate

Duties/Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:
Recreational Therapist
Communicate changes in patient's condition to Director of Recreational Therapy and interdisciplinary treatment team.
Provide pertinent feedback to the interdisciplinary treatment team regarding patient response to therapy, treatment interventions, and therapeutic objectives, as appropriate and necessary.
Provides assessment in psychosocial/leisure and recreation skills development/deficiency.
Ensure timely documentation of interventions and ensure interventions are based on the patient's plan of care.
Teach coping skills and stress management techniques to patients and display a balance leisure lifestyle.
Utilize advanced knowledge of counseling and therapeutic concepts and methods for determining therapeutic services for psychiatric, traumatic, and chemically dependent patients.
Demonstrate knowledge of group dynamics as well as therapy and practice of group processing.
